Davidson River School had a 9/11 Commemoration Flag Ceremony in front of the flagpole at the school. Students and staff watched as DRS members of the Marine Corp JROTC lowered the existing flag and presented it to the representative of the American Legion. The new flag was then raised to half mast to commemorate September 11 and will continue to fly at the school each day. The American Legion also announced that they will donate 15 class sets of flags and hardware so that each room will have one. #TeachingEveryoneTakesEveryone
